There is something truly special about Analog Family Photography, the medium is imperfect and unpredictable just like our family lives.

We started the Truman family session at their home in Pembrokeshire, spending the afternoon together before heading down to Penally Beach. Nothing elaborate, just their home, their family and a place they know, photographed as this part of their life feels right now.nI gave a little direction when we needed it, but mostly there was space for the children to play, move around and be themselves. I want family sessions to feel easy while still creating photographs that are beautiful, creative and full of feeling.

From home to Penally Beach

After spending some time at home, we headed to Penally Beach.

One of the things I love about my family photography in Pembrokeshire is being able to include both home and the landscape around us. The places where childhood and family life actually happen become part of the photographs too. At the beach there was space to move, explore and create a completely different set of images, while still keeping the same feeling running through the whole session.
