If you're dreaming of a relaxed wedding surrounded by woodland, where your favourite people can stay together for the whole weekend, Gellifawr is one of my favourite venues in West Wales.
I've photographed many weddings here over the years and I'm proud to be one of Gellifawr's recommended photographers. Knowing the venue inside out means I know exactly where the light is at its best, how the day naturally flows, and all the little corners that make for beautiful, natural photographs without ever taking you away from your guests for long.
One of the reasons I keep coming back is that no two weddings ever feel the same. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a big party, Gellifawr has a way of feeling completely yours. With everyone staying on site, your wedding becomes more than just one day. It becomes a weekend spent eating, laughing, exploring the grounds and celebrating with the people who matter most.

Gellifawr Woodland Retreat has so many beautiful portrait locations right on the grounds. From woodland paths and gardens to the ponds, there is a wonderful variety of natural backdrops. If you fancy a mini adventure, there are also hills and coastline just a short drive away, and I am always happy to help you decide what will work best for you on the day.
A Relaxed Wedding Day Experience at Gellifawr
Weddings at Gellifawr are not only beautiful and full of nature, they are fun. Properly fun. There is something really special about having all your friends and family together in what feels like a small village, surrounded by woodland and open space, celebrating you and your life. The energy here on a wedding day is always incredible.
The couples who choose Gellifawr all seem to have one thing in common. They want to celebrate. They want laughter, connection, and a day that feels relaxed and full of meaning. That is exactly what Gellifawr allows, and it is why I love photographing weddings here, capturing the energy, connection, and joy as it naturally unfolds.
I had high expectations for Christina when I booked her and she still exceeded them!
She was great from the first email when she replied to my initial enquiry and couldn't have wished for a better photographer on the day. Neither me or my husband are comfortable in front of a camera but Christina was great at directing the posed photos and making us feel more relaxed. She's a lovely person to have around - so easy to chat to and have a laugh with. There were a couple of things that I thought I'd forgotten to give someone or allocate a task to but Christina was on the ball and had already sorted it!

What I love most about photographing weddings at Gellifawr is that it doesn't need much from us. The venue has so much character that we don't have to force anything. My job is simply to notice the moments, use the beautiful light and landscape, and create photographs that feel like your wedding rather than a photoshoot. You'll spend your day celebrating with the people you love, and I'll make sure that's what you remember.
